Welcome back everyone!! My first book review that I am doing is a book called It Happened Yesterday by Joyce Humphrey Cares. I received a copy of the ebook for a honest review of this book.
I love the cover. It made me want to go to Tuscany, Italy especially with the description. In the beginning of the book, I was having problems getting into the book, but once I got to about page 11, I could not stop reading.

This was a different genre for me. I have been reading romance books for about 20 years. In high school, I loved to read mysteries. This book reminded me of those favorite mysteries books I loved so much back in high school. I loved the mystery behind who killed Silvia Whitehall. By the end of the book, I was wrong who I thought did it! (nope not telling you who I thought did it). The mystery behind who stole the artifacts was a nice bonus. I loved how Vicky was helping Tony with his investigation with these artifacts. Who stole them? Where did they hide them?
What about the Gladiator? Where did he come from? How did Vicky travel to another century? Why? These questions kept coming up during this book. It was different for me to have this in the book. I do not remember reading a book with time traveling of a sort. I did like meeting the Gladiator and how things in Italy are different in our lifetime.
☆☆☆☆
I give this book 4 out of 5 stars because I was having a hard time getting into the book.
Would I recommend this book? Yes! Author? Yes!
Would I read more from this author? Yes!
Happy Reading!!
Melissa
