Review: One Hot Summer

For this review, I chose One Hot Summer by Melissa Cutler.

I requested ARC copy of the ebook through Netgalley in exchanged for a honest review.

Here is a brief description from Goodreads:
Welcome to Dulcet, Texas, home of the legendary Briscoe Ranch Resort, where one woman will discover that even love is bigger in the Lone Star State...

Celebrity wedding planner Remedy Lane is Hollywood royalty--until a scandal sends her packing to the wilds of Texas. She has a knack for leaving disaster in her wake, but she's determined to reboot her career at Briscoe Ranch, a luxury resort known for extravagant weddings. Little does she know that weddings don't happen at the resort without the approval of the town's cowboy swaggering, too-hot-for-his-own good fire chief, Micah Garrity.

Micah knows trouble when he sees it, and all it takes is one glimpse of Remedy's princess airs for him to know he's met his match. Too bad he can't stop thinking about her--even when she brings about one disaster after another at the resort. He and Remedy clash at every turn, but they can't stop the sparks flying between them. They come from such different worlds--does love stand a chance or will this fire burn too hot for either of them to handle?

This is book #1 in the One and Only series.  Book #.5 is The Mistletoe Effect.  Book #2 is One More Taste.  I loved this book.  Remedy moved to Texas because of a scandal that broke and she needed to reboot her career as a wedding planner.  When Remedy moved to Texas, it was to be temporary until she reboot her career so she could go back to LA, but once she gave Texas and the people in town a chance, she started to love being there.

All of her weddings had to be approved by the Fire Chief.  Remedy and Micah was like fire and water.  They clashed so much.  They were from different worlds, but their attraction was off the chart.

Love how Miss Cutler gave us a look into Dulcet, Texas,  and the people.  Besides Remedy and Micah being a favorite of my, I fell in love with Grandma June.  I like the love story that Grandma June and her husband had is one for the books.  Everyone in town knows of their story.  I also enjoyed the history about the church/chapel where Grandma June and her husband was married.
