My name is Intensia. I am a singer, songwriter, and music artist based in Munich, Germany. I am inspired by life and driven by emotions, writing poetic pop songs that feel like after a meaningful conversation with a good friend. Nice to meet you.
Favorite sports.
That would be singing for sure. I can say with certainty that it is a very healthy, holistic activity that brings several benefits. And it even burns approximately 120 calories per hour. Besides that, I really enjoy going for a relaxing walk in nature whenever possible.
Favorite thing about the state/country that you live in.
One of the things I appreciate most about the culture in Germany is that people tend to speak very honestly. Some might call it blunt, some might even call it rude. But being direct also has its advantages.
And then there is the Döner. A quick and tasty dish you can, thank the universe, also easily have plant based, which I like to enjoy every now and then. It is a warm, grilled flatbread generously filled with vegetables, sauces, and protein. Mine is usually filled with grilled narrow slices of seitan, cucumber, lettuce, grilled zucchini, grilled red bell pepper, and red cabbage salad. You can also have sauces in there, but I mostly skip them because of my diet. If you have the chance, give it a try. It is a juicy, satisfying, different kind of burger.
If we are counting the day I discovered I am actually a songwriter, without even knowing that this is a profession, because I was a freshly schooled kid with a double radio cassette recorder, experimenting with my voice and creating melodies before it even became cool to produce music in one's own bedroom, well, that was quite a long time ago.
What inspired you to become a writer?
You know that feeling when a room full of perfect strangers starts to sing together at the top of their lungs because one of their favorite songs starts to play. That is one of the greatest feelings in the world, an instant connection. Music is always there for us, and the idea of being part of it, becoming a companion to people and offering a soundtrack for life, brings me so much joy.
What would you tell a writer who is just starting? What advice would you give to a writer working on their first book?
The journey does not end when the work is finished and ready to buy. It actually begins when you start connecting with your audience on a genuine level, building a community of lovely souls genuinely inspired by your words. Oh, and whatever you are doing, it will probably take longer than expected. Try to nurture patience and good breathwork.
