Review: Loyal Subjects

For this review, I chose Loyal Subjects by Eva Charles.

I received a copy of the ebook for a honest review of this book.

Here is a brief description from Goodreads:
Allegiance, faithfulness, honor...
Loyalty goes by many names.

Emmie Landon is off-limits. She has a young son, works with my brother Jake, and lugs around enough baggage to fill an entire football stadium. But I can't resist her long, shapely legs and thick, soft curls, begging to be wrapped around my hands.

Mark Harrington is too-everything. Too good looking, too funny, too charming, too brutally honest, too impulsive. He's accustomed to getting his way, and never afraid to throw down the gauntlet. So what if I can't stop thinking about his devilish blue eyes and his lip-smacking happy trail?

He needs someone to love.
She needs someone to love her.

Two seemingly incompatible lives...
Two hearts capable of total devotion.

This is Book #5 of the New American Royal series.  I have read Books #2 & 4 in this series beside this one.  I love the Harrington family.  They are so warm and inviting those who are friends into their family as if they were always there.

Emmie has had a rough life.  Now she is a widow with a young son and a mother in law, who is not always so nice to her and her choices.  The mother in law makes her feel so small and like she is a bad mother.  Mark sees Emmie for the first time and is drawn to her.  He wants everything with her, but Emmie puts up this wall that Mark has to break down.  He is determined to have her see that he is good for her and her son.

This won't be my last book by this author.  I love this family and I need to read the other books in this series.
