Review: The Leftover

For this review, I chose The Leftover by Brooke Williams.

I received a copy of the ebook for a honest review of this book.

Here is a brief description from Goodreads:

A reserved wallflower discovers that reality TV is the perfect backdrop to develop her confidence in this lighthearted rom-com. Megan Malone is the ultimate homebody. When her sister talks her into going on The Leftover, a local version of the TV show Survivor, she isn’t sure she’ll make it past the first vote. Meanwhile, Cane Trevino is nursing a broken heart by joining the show as a medic. With time away from his regular job and a dozen contestants to distract him, he hopes he can finally get over the woman he thought was “the one.”

Megan Malone is a sweet, clumsy, geeky wallflower, who hides in her home.  Her sister, Molly, can not do the show called The Leftover so she gets her sister to go for her because she is pregnant.  I loved how this book showed Megan becoming her own person and not letting anyone tell her how to live her own life.  Cane is hurting from being heartbroken.  He joins the show as a medic.  Cane and Megan have this great chemistry and can talk like they are old friends.
I love Ms Williams writing.  She takes things that could happen in real life and brings it alive on paper (or ipad!) like being a wallflower.  Great characters.

There is a giveaway on Goodreads.  It ends September 2, 2017.
