Review: My Kind of Wonderful

For this review, I chose My Kind of Wonderful by Jill Shalvis.

I requested ARC copy of the ebook through Netgalley in exchanged for a honest review.

Here is a brief description from Goodreads:
UNEXPECTED AND UNDENIABLE...

Bailey Moore has an agenda: skiing in the Rockies, exploring castles in Europe, ballroom dancing in Argentina. Now that she has a second lease on life, she's determined not to miss a thing. What she doesn't realize is that item #1 comes with a six-foot-one ski god hot enough to melt a polar ice cap. She doesn't want to miss out on him either, but Hudson Kincaid isn't the type of guy to love and let go. And as gorgeous as Cedar Ridge is, she's not planning to stick around.

As head of ski patrol at his family's resort, Hud thinks he's seen it all. But never has he run into someone like Bailey. She might look delicate, but her attitude is all firecracker. And her infectious joy touches something deep within him that he's been missing far too long. Now he'll just have to convince Bailey to take a chance on her biggest adventure yet . . . something rare and all kinds of wonderful.

I have read the first book in the Cedar Ridge series and I knew I would love this book.  The first book is called Second Chance Summer.

Hudson takes care of those around him, but all he does is work as a cop and in charge of the Search and Rescue team.  He feels guilt about his mom's illness and about his twin brother's leaving.  When will Hudson allow love in his life?

Bailey has been through so much.  For 10 years, Bailey battled for her life.  She wants more than anything passion that knocks you up against the wall.  She takes a job to paint a mural on the weekends while working during the week as a graphic designer.  Will Bailey find her passion?

I can not wait to read book #3, Nobody But You, about Hudson's Twin brother, Jacob.

Day 3: Aidan Kincaid of Second Chance Summer

Welcome to Day 3 of my 31 Days Series!!  Today's book boyfriend is Aidan Kincaid of Second Chance Summer by Jill Shalvis.

I have this thing about reading about firemen.  Well, one fireman in particular--My husband.  I love reading any book about firemen. Aidan Kincaid is a Firefighter and volunteers with Search and Rescue and helps with the family business, a Resort.  I love how we learn as a reader what 3 things that Aidan loves.  Did you read this book?  Do you remember those 3 things?  They are: 1. sex 2. pizza 3. beer.

Aidan would be a great book boyfriend because
-He is HOT.
-He will help out a friend.
-He is an Firefighter and volunteers with Search and Rescue.
-He is always there for his family.
-Did I say he is HOT?

This book cover makes you dream about what is under that shirt of Aidan.  You can see muscles.  It is like those muscles are teasing you to come into the book to learn more about Aidan and I believe it is worth it!!

Happy Reading!

What are your top 5 (or more) authors?

I was nominated by a friend to list 5 authors I stalk a few weeks ago, but I have been busy reading!.....so here is my list:

My list was only 6 (last year), but I have added 9 authors I have learned in the last year, who are Lynne Silver, Danielle Stewart, Ella Jade, Grace Burrowes, Jean C. Joachim, Gemma Brocato, Jessie Evans, and Debra Ann Fisk.

I have found some new series I love, but I think I will talk about those in a separate post so I can keep up with what I have read and what I have not read.  I am behind in some of the series I now read and I need to play catch up.

I can not pick 5. What can I say? I love to read. Now I don't stalk these authors every day on Facebook. I definitely go to Jennifer Bernard's Facebook Page every Friday for her Happy Firemen Friday!! (I am married to a volunteer fireman!). I have them all in a special category (authors) so I can find them when I want to look at their Facebook page.

What are your top 5 (or more) authors that you stalk on Facebook or their websites?
Happy Reading,
Melissa
