Review: SEAL You in My Dreams

For this review, I chose  by SEAL You in My Dreams by Sharon Hamilton.

I received a copy of the ebook for a honest review of this book.

Here is a brief description from Goodreads:
Special Operator Peter Watson’s next great adventure begins at the Atlanta Aquarium when he encounters a mermaid who steals his heart. But playing with sharks and colorful fish in the Big Tank isn’t nearly as dangerous, or as fun as what happens on land after their meeting behind glass.
Abbey Hart’s summertime job in Atlanta was just going to be something brainless between her graduation from college and the start of her internship at a Sonoma County winery in the fall. But she’s swimming upstream when her travels land her in the arms of a frogman, Navy SEAL Peter Watson.
Oceans apart, who could know that the wonderful week they shared together in Atlanta would turn from fantasy to reality?

I love book on Navy SEALs.  Abbey Hart has 2 summertime jobs before she goes back to California for her new job.  Peter Watson is a Navy SEAL in Atlanta working on an assignment.

Peter sees Abbey working as a mermaid at the Georgia Aquarium, falls for her and he has to find her.  He finds out where she works.  Some of his team members and him go where he can be introduced to her.  Abbey is trying to heal from a break up.  Her ex is not a nice man she has been coming to realize.  Lucky she has a SEAL that will do anything for her.

This was sweet, sexy and fun!! I can not wait to read more in this series so I can learn about Peter and Abbey!!

Review: Trident Legacy

For this review, I chose Trident Legacy: Collection One by Sharon Hamilton and Kathryn Le Veque.

I requested an ARC copy of the ebook in exchanged for a honest review.

Here is a brief description from Goodreads:
From NYT BESTSELLING author Sharon Hamilton and USA TODAY BESTSELLING author Kathryn Le Veque, a novella duet unlike anything you've ever read. Immortal souls, sexy passion, and Navy SEALs collide in this fabulous novella duo:
SEAL of Time
The Immortal SEA

We are brothers, the Sons of Poseidon, though our mothers have gone many eons ago. Given special powers, we are required to protect humanity from the dark forces of the universe that coalesce and then plunge back into the inky pit of evil only to rise up again to be defeated.

My task is to blend in as a normal, common man. But I am not a common man. I bear the mark, and I have worn it proudly, although sometimes I find that calling more difficult than others. However, I’ve never run away from it nor deny the obligation of my birthright.

Oceans and worlds are fully accessible to me. There is only one thing that I am denied: a true love partner. I’ve loved many times, but never for evermore, only for the here and now.

It would be a lonely journey, without mother or family of my own, were it not for my brothers. But the preservation of mankind is a worthy calling, and one I shall do until the end of time, or the end of my time.

I have chosen for these next few years to live as a Navy SEAL, an elite warrior with an elite team of brothers not unlike the Sons of Poseidon.

This is my story.

SEAL of Time and The Immortal Sea was written by 2 different authors.  Sharon Hamilton written SEAL of Time.  The Immortal Sea is written by Kathyrn Le Veque.  Both were quick novellas.  These were full of action and adventure.  Both leading men are descendants of Poseidon.  Both stories centered around the idea if love was worth giving up their mortality.

Paranormal books are not normally something I read, but I do like them.  I like to read them because of them being different than my normal genre.  This was the first thing I read by Kathyrn Le Veque.

Review: Band of Bachelors: Jake

For this review, I chose Band of Bachelors: Jake by Sharon Hamilton.

I requested an ARC copy of the ebook in exchanged for a honest review.

Here is a brief description from Goodreads:
Navy SEAL Jake Green wakes up in the Honeymoon Suite at the Desert Oasis Motel in Las Vegas and can’t remember how he got there. But that’s not the only thing he doesn’t remember. A bachelor, his left hand now sports a gold wedding ring.

It seems like all of the bachelors keep continue to fall into marriage one by one.  The background for Jake is messy.  That is the only word I can use to describe him.  2 ex wives and an ex girlfriend.  Wow.  Jake needs to slow down in the girl department.

I loved the book, but I felt like something was missing.  I wanted to know more about the ending.  What else happened?  I do not want to go into details for those who have not read the book.  I do hope there is another book with more details on Jake and Ginger.

Review: True Blue SEALs Zak

For this review, I chose True Blue SEALs: Zak by Sharon Hamilton.

I received a copy of the ebook for a honest review of this book.

Here is a brief description from Goodreads:
Zak and Amy are destined for each other. After successfully passing the BUD/S training, and helping to stop a San Francisco terrorist attack, Zak goes to the arena of war with the rest of his SEAL Team 3 buddies, to return a changed man. Amy will have to negotiate the pain in her heart as she works to discover the man she loved going off to war is still the man of her dreams, and only if she can convince Zak he still is that man.

This is #13 in the SEAL Brotherhood series.  I was so happy to be able to read about the story on Amy and Zak.  Once Amy and Zak were back together, he did not want to let her go.

While I was reading this book, I kept thinking if my husband was in the military and came back different than he was, what would I do?  I would do as Amy did- stick with her man.  Show him your love and be patient.  Amy showed us readers that if things to change she would have to be patient and strong.

I hope this couple to mentioned in books coming.  I would love to see where they are in the future.

Review: True Blue SEALs

For this review, I chose True Blue SEALs by Sharon Hamilton.  I received a copy of the ebook for a honest review of this book.

Here is a brief description from Goodreads:
Zak Chambers' first mission as a Navy SEAL is to save the woman he loves.

Zak Chambers grows up in the shadow of a home grown hero he’s always being compared to. But even heroes can be unlucky, and when the legendary SEAL sacrifices his life overseas, Zak is moved to follow in his footsteps.

His fast and furious fling in high school, Amy Dobson, is still the wild child daughter of the local Chief of Police, doing her best to excise her demons by partying with half the male population of their town. Barging back into his life, they spend one stolen night together before Zak ships off for his first deployment. But will this be enough to sustain them to a Happily Ever After when she is targeted by a home grown terrorist cell?

Amy and Zak were high school sweethearts.  Zak decided to leave his hometown and follow his dream of being a SEAL.  Amy decided that it is time to let Zak go and get on with her life by moving to a new town and working.  Everything was fine until Amy saw something she should not had.  Now what is Amy to do?  I know what I would have done the same thing as Amy.  Call Zak for help.  What a way to get to know one another again!!

I love this novella because it was not about a guy meeting a girl in a bar or through a friend.  It was about second chances

Review: Love Me Tender

For this review, I chose Love Me, Tender by Sharon Hamilton.

I received a copy of the ebook for a honest review of this book.

Here is a brief description from Goodreads:
His leg is the reason he’s off the SEAL Teams, but it’s his heart that hurts the most.

Derek Farley has a lot of time on his hands now, but what he really wants is to get into trouble. If he could just show Remy he didn’t need her he could perhaps walk away a free man. So what else does a bad-ass former Navy SEAL explosives expert do? Enroll in culinary school in St. Helena! He might make a great pastry chef, if he can get that arrow out of his chest.

Remington Bolt is a crack shot at lethally wounding every man who’s ever tried to tie her down. But her almost forever man comes back, stirring up the pot of sweet tasting memories and mouth-watering fantasies. He’s got her oven stoked. If she’s not careful she’ll be dessert.

This short novella is part of the St. Helena Vineyard series.  I loved this novella.  Derek Farley has been a SEAL for as long as he can remember, but now he needs to make a new future for himself.  He is invited to go to St Helena by friends and is the perfect spot to find himself.   He runs into Remington Bolt and sparks are still flying.

If you are looking for a quick read with a great story, then this is it!!

Review: Band of Bachelors: Alex

For this review, I chose Band of Bachelors: Alex by Sharon Hamiliton.

I received a copy of the ebook for a honest review of this book.

Here is a brief description from Goodreads:
Adrenaline junkie and Navy SEAL Alex Kowicki is one of four bachelor SEALs trying to navigate his successful military career while achieving his goals as a first class connoisseur of beautiful women. He isn’t ready to jump back into anything but his free falls, HALO drops or his missions overseas. He trusts his buddies to fix him up with another blind date that won’t be as dangerous as his last ones.

But Sydney Robinson has other plans. A beach volleyball player who can spike better than most men, she knows how to execute a series of events that include stalking the handsome SEAL all the way to Sonoma County, capturing him in a winery and delivering his carcass to her bed for keeps. Along the way, the two of them fight a home-grown terrorist cell in a duel that might cost one of them their lives.

I love books on Navy SEAL men!! It has become my favorite thing to read!  Alex is always being set up by his fellow SEALs on blind dates, but they never work out.  Is it because he has not met "the one" or is it because he does not want anything than a fling.  Sydney is a beach volleyball player and is focused on her career.  She does not want anything serious.  Sydney is a serious adrenaline junkie.

If you want hot intense with a mix of intrigue, then this is your book.  I loved that Alex and Sydney met on a blind date, which is how I met my husband.  It reminded me of the beginning.

Review: Fredo's Dream

For this review, I chose Fredo's Dream by Sharon Hamilton.

I received a copy of the ebook for a honest review of this book.

Here is a brief description from Goodreads:
***See SPECIAL NOTE below if you preordered this book***
Navy SEAL Alphonso Manuel Esquidido “Fredo” Sanchez has the heart of a lion and would do anything to protect and honor his beautiful bride, Mia. He’d fought for her love tirelessly, even after his Team buddies suggested he give up. But it was more than pride that wounded him when he discovered he could not father children. He is raising another man’s son as his own, but can never give her what she wants more than possibly anything else in the world. He has kept this a secret only unto himself and his best friend, Cooper. And he knows time is not on his side.

Mia Guzman has come a long way from wild child girlfriend of San Diego drug dealers to devoted mother and now dutiful wife of the man she now knows was always there for her, and always will be. She yearns to have a child with Fredo, to honor him with her body in every way she can, perhaps making up for the years she discounted his devotion.

Their beautiful love and marriage will be tested to the limits through twists and turns before the dramatic final outcome readers will love.

I have gotten more fan mail about Fredo than any other of my Navy SEALs. This book is for you readers, by popular request!

****PREORDER ALERT - An incorrect version of this book was uploaded in error, but has been fixed. If you preordered this book, you can get the new version by going to "Manage Your Kindle Devices" and requesting the free update ****

I love this series.  I have read all, but I think 2.  You can read this as a standalone, but Fredo's Secret gives you more details.  I do not want to say what that secret is if you have not read Fredo's Secret.  I want you to be surprised.  I want you to feel whatever emotions when you find out!  This secret is repeated in Fredo's Dream.  Fredo wants something so badly that he dreams about it.  Fredo has to tell Mia his "secret", but not sure how she will react.

Fredo is my favorite.  I have listened to some of the audios of the earlier books in this series and Fredo's voice had me laughing.  That laugh says with me each time I listen or read about him.

Review: SEAL Brotherhood: Fredo's Secret

For this review, I chose SEAL Brotherhood: Fredo's Secret by Sharon Hamilton.

I received a copy of the ebook for a honest review of this book.

Here is a brief description from Goodreads:
Navy SEAL Alphonso "Fredo" Manuel Esquidido Chavez learns something he does not want to tell his wife, the beautiful Mia Guzman, Armando's sister. He worries she will no longer love him when she finds out the news. But just as one door closes, another opens for Fredo and Mia. And along the way he manages to help redeem a struggling youth, who reflects some of the darkness of his own past.

I am listening to the Audio version of this book and it is narrated by JD Hart.

Book #10- SEAL's Code (Ebook)
Book #11- True Blue Navy (haven't read yet)
Book #12- Nashville SEAL (haven't read yet)
Book #13- Fredo's Secret (Audio)

Fredo is my favorite character in this series.  I love how JD Hart does his voice.  Fredo has a secret and he is afraid to tell Mia.  Keeping secrets do not work.  That secret comes out anyway.  It is better to face the one you love and tell her before she finds out another way.  Mia has been through so much and it is finally nice to see her and Fredo happy and in love.  More than anything all she wants is Fredo, who needs to realize this on his own.

I can not wait to read/listen to the other 2 books in this series!

Raised in and out of the foster care system and nearly ruining his chance to become a SEAL, he figured his Happily Ever After would never be. But Dr. Death plays a heartbreaking trick on him and he winds up being the man’s father confessor, where he makes a promise to the dying SEAL to look after his friend’s wife and baby.

Back in the states, Shannon Moore is grateful for the baby she is carrying, though she is a constant reminder of the man who no longer lives at her side. She is not ready for the attention from the community she receives, especially from T.J. She’s decided to honor her fallen husband by giving her whole life to the child he left behind.

Recovering from his wounds, Talbot is plagued by the depth of the wounds he still carries inside him, as he tries to perform a mission he wishes he was not given. Rebuffed at every turn, he struggles but understands his promise might not be able to be fulfilled. He does not want to take what was never given to him in the first place.

But what starts out as an improbable love story begins to bloom and grow. When Shannon and the child are endangered, he will not quit fighting for the family he now knows he was meant to love forever.

Day 6: Kyle Lansdowne of Accidental SEAL

Welcome to Day 6 of my 31 Days Series!!  Today's book boyfriend is Kyle Lansdowne of Accidental SEAL by Sharon Hamiliton.

If you are new to my blog, you will see that I love to read, that I love to read romance books, that I love to read books as the hero is either a firefighter, cowboy, or Military (SEALS are my favorite).  I also love books that have mystery or suspense, chemistry between the heroine and the hero, and action.

I have been listening to the Audios of Sharon Hamilton's SEAL Brotherhood series.  I love being able to do housework or work in my personal blog when I am listening to an Audio book.  It gives me some freedom that sitting down to read a book or ebook doesn't.

I love how Ms Hamilton set up this book.  Christy is in the wrong house.  She is a realtor.  If Christy wasn't in the wrong house, then she would have never met Kyle.  Kyle sounded irresistible.  Both Christy and Kyle had great chemistry and a deep connection.   The descriptions was very well done and I could imagine it all.

How is Kyle a book boyfriend?
Kyle is
-He is a SEAL.
-would do anything for someone he loves.  Look at all he did for Christy and his team!
-Hot
-Passionate
-Romantic
-Irresistible
-Soft heart
-A Leader
