Release Day Blitz: Worthless

worthlessfinalebook
Cover Design: MadHat Books
Release Date: January 11, 2017

Synopsis
In the sexy heat of Miami's party scene, they discover a new, forbidden addiction—each other.   Bienvenidos a Miami! Welcome to the hottest party scene in the U.S. Where beneath all the glitter, hard bodies and sexy drinks, the lives of the hard-partying residents of the 305 are not as they seem.   Daniel Ross is getting his life in Miami back on track. Common lore says once an addict, always an addict, but Danny's out to prove lore is a moron. After a tough, celibate year of getting sober, a rental room in the home of his sister’s best friend, Amy, is only a stop on his journey to better things. But the best thing in Danny's life may be right in front of him--the sweet, curvaceous Amy. When they tumble into bed, he discovers a new addiction to her smokin' lips and body.   When Amy Stern agrees to let Danny move in, it’s out of compassion. Her new tenant isn’t supposed to fill her thoughts, and star in her sexy dreams. He's definitely not meant to interfere with her budding relationship with a steady, sweet lawyer. If Amy were smart, she’d design clothes for her plus-sized women’s boutique, date her lawyer, and suppress her longing for Danny. And she'd definitely never touch him. Because once she does, his kisses and his embrace set off an explosive craving neither of them can control.   Now Amy's caught in a love triangle, and she has a secret that she's going to have to share with both men, the sooner the better. Which one of them is worthy of her trust, and her commitment?

Review: The Dog Encyclopedia for Kids

For this review, I chose The Dog Encyclopedia for Kids by Tammy Gagne.

I received a copy of the ebook for a honest review of this book.

I requested ARC copy of the ebook through Netgalley in exchanged for a honest review.

Here is a brief description from Goodreads:
Icelandic Sheepdogs are born with extra toes. Dalmatians are born without spots. Some Siberian Huskies have one blue eye and one brown eye. Learn all about the characteristics of various dog breeds and much more! Packed with amazing photographs and fun facts, dog owners and fans will get an in-depth look at these curious, lovable canines.

I love the coloring in the Australian Cattle Dog.  I had no idea that this dog was a crossing a type of Collie and Dalmatian.  I love the Australian Shepherds.  Their coloring is so beautiful.  I have not heard of Beauceron.  Maybe it is because their country of origin is France.

When growing up, my brother had a beautiful Keeshond.  Jerry was a great dog.  My brother and my mom both have Westies.  I did not know that the tips of their ears are prone to sunburn.

A favorite of my is Siberian Husky.  We have/had 2 (not sure how to write that).  We lost our oldest husky, (11 years old) Zeus, at the end of December of 2016.  He was a great dog.  Our younger husky, Bolt, has a lot of energy for being 5 years old.  Belgian Malinois is a favorite of my.  They are known for their work as police and military dogs.  Another favorite is the German Shepherd dog.

Educational.  Great photos.

Review: A Roster Addition

For this review, I chose A Roster Addition by V.L. Locey.

I received a copy of the ebook for a honest review of this book.

Here is a brief description from Goodreads:
Veikko Aho, Wildcats star goalie, and his wife Liz are about to add a new player to their family roster. The open adoption of Maggie and Derrick’s granddaughter will help to heal the gaping hole infertility has left in the Aho’s life. Finally, that huge mansion on the Main Line will hear the sweet laughter of a child.

But the birth that the Aho’s are so looking forward to seems to be stirring up some anxiety and unspoken fears for the grandparents. As the seemingly endless night of labor drags on, power struggles that threaten to break up a long-standing friendship rise to the surface. Can both families put aside their petty differences or will this precious new Wildcat tear them apart?

This is in the To Love a Wildcat series.  I love series.  I love how authors write more books based on the minor characters in previous books.

It is great to see Veikko Aho and his wife waiting on the arrival of their new daughter.  Maggie and Derrick are nervous that they will not be this baby's grandparents since the parents are Maggie's son and girlfriend, who have decided to have the baby adopted.

Can both families put aside their differences for this baby?

Review: A King's Christmas

For this review, I chose A King's Christmas by Jean C Joachim.

I received a copy of the ebook for a honest review of this book.

Here is a brief description from Goodreads:
Stress over making the playoffs at holiday time can’t compete with the tensions in the homes of the star players on the Connecticut Kings. From Trunk Mahoney’s shattered dream of a Currier & Ives Christmas to the secret Lauren is keeping from Griff, surprises abound in this last tale of the team.
As the men and their women celebrate the holidays, bad news seems to rival good as accidents, breakups, and unexpected reunions strain love to the breaking point. Who will get their Christmas wish and who will not? If you’ve loved the men of the First & Ten series, then you won’t want to miss this nail-biter, the final chapter that will have you in tears and laughing with the wonderful men of the Connecticut Kings.

This is #9 in the First and Ten series.  I love being able to read about the Connecticut Kings and their spouses (children, too!).  It is sad that this is the final chapter of the Kings, but it is wonderful that it is at Christmas time.  I have been reading several books set around Christmas and this was a great addition to that.

I am not going to say a lot about this book, but I was grabbed on the first page and the last page had me wanting more.

Review: The Holiday Romance Series: One Small Town, 4 Great Stories

For this review, I chose The Holiday Romance Series: One Small Town, 4 Great Stories by Robyn Grady.

I requested ARC copy of the ebook through Netgalley in exchanged for a honest review.

Here is a brief description from Goodreads:
Her Mother’s Day Miracle
Nothing will stop Riley Mathis from giving his infant daughter a safe and stable life growing up. After his wife passed away during childbirth, Riley moved to Point St. Claire, Maine, where families are close and people simply care. So, who had he ticked off to be lumped with this neighbor from hell?
Aster Lawrence could do without her friendly, happy, handsome new neighbor poking around in her business. This time last year, her world was shot down in flames. She’d been keeping her head above water before Riley Mathis introduced her to his baby. How could she keep her distance—keep surviving—when they were both so easy to love?
Hers For The Summer
Ten years ago, Melanie Beachmere had been given the responsibility of her life: assume legal guardianship of her much younger sister. Melanie is still determined to make all the right choices for high school senior Phoebe…even the unpopular ones linked with a seventeen-year-old bad boy who recently breezed into town.
When a lawyer from Portland brings news of an inheritance left to Phoebe by a stranger, and a scandal from the past, Melanie’s world is rocked. Then her sexy lawyer crosses the boundary from business to the bedroom, and Melanie discovers…attorney Logan Taylor has some dark secrets all his own.
One Haunted Moonlit Night
Former dot-com success Jack Mason doesn't believe in ghosts or goblins. He hadn't bought this old lighthouse and keeper's cottage in Maine because of its eerie past, but to indulge a childhood dream. Then photographer Sammy Briar blows onto the scene.
Sammy's story, delivered the night before Halloween at the site of a haunted grave, would raise the hair on the back of anyone's neck. Jack is intrigued, and not only by her tale. Everything about Sammy is captivating, mesmerizing, including her kiss. It's as if...
Well, it's as if they'd met before.
One Christmas Knight
Five days before Christmas, Emma Bagwell’s structured existence spirals out of control. Her wayward sister has blown into town with a six-week-old who needs an emergency sitter for a week. Emma knows zip about babies, but after one look, she falls in love. And being a substitute mom is a great diversion from the one problem she can’t seem to solve.
Doctor Damon Knight is even more infuriating than he is hot. Emma can’t decide which she’d sooner forget…their no-holds-barred public argument or his very private bone-melting kiss. But when the baby comes down with a fever, then an alarming rash, Emma doesn’t hesitate. Dropping his festive out-of-town plans, Damon comes to the rescue, and in more ways than one.

Book #1- Her Mother's Day Miracle
Riley Mathis will do anything for his infant daughter.  He lost his wife.  Aster Lawrence has been through a lot and her neighbor has an infant daughter.  She is not over with what happened to her last year.  This was my favorite of all 4.

Book #2- Hers for the Summer

Melanie Beachmere has been the responible guardian of her younger sister.  She would do anything for her and that includes putting her life on hold.  She meets an attorney in her bakery one day because the cat that lives there ran out in front of him.  He wanted to make sure the cat was fine.  I think the cat had matchmaking plans of his own!

Book #3-One Haunted Moonlight Night
Jack Mason does not believe in ghosts.  He brought an old lighthouse and cottage.  A photographer, Sammy Briar, looking for answers about her relative who had history with Jack's property.

Book #4- One Christmas Knight
Emma Bagwell has a reputation of being a hard person to get along.  Her sister shows up with a 6 week old and needs her help watching her so she can go tell the father.  Emma has never taken care of an infant.  She looks for advice to the town's doctor, Damon Knight.  I think this was a sweet story about a woman who finds herself and not knowing that a little baby can change her life.

Review: SEALs of Honor: Mason's Wish

For this review, I chose Mason's Wish by Dale Mayer.

I received a copy of the ebook for a honest review of this book.

Here is a brief description from Goodreads:
This is a Christmas Novella continuing the story between Mason and Tesla!

Mason loves his life with Tesla, but living together isn't enough. He wants more. He wants it all. He wants forever.

All set to make this a memorable Christmas for the two of them, he calls her at home and hears her cry out as she fights off an attacker. Racing to her rescue, he finds her missing – again.

Determined to put the horrific memories behind her, Tesla is looking forward to a bright and happy future. But someone nursing a grudge has decided it's payback time.

Their lives change in a flash as Mason races to save Tesla before they lose their future – and each other.

This is book #7.5 in the SEALs of Honor series.  I love this series.  We met Tesla and Mason in an earlier book.  Tesla got herself into trouble once again.  Someone messed with her program and before she found out who did it, she was kidnapped.  Mason has to save her.  What would he do without her?  What is Mason's Wish?

I loved that we as readers can read more about characters from previous books.  Tesla was a favorite of my.  She is strong and does not give up.

The 7th book in the ever popular SEALs of Honor series is coming in late September. This is Markus and Bree's story.

This is Book #7 in the SEALs of Honor series.  I love this series.  Reading romance books on SEALs is a top favorite of my.

Loved this book.  Strong characters.  Danger, adventure, and drama.  Another great read in this series.
