For this review, I chose Protecting the Quarterback by Kristina Knight.
I received a copy of the ebook for a honest review of this book.
Here is a brief description from Goodreads:
This is more than just a game...to her
Sports broadcaster Brooks Smith has always been more involved with the game than the players. But after she shares the spotlight at an awards ceremony with tabloid sensation Jonas Nash, one night of letting her guard down around the infamous quarterback spirals into many heated days and nights together when she gets assigned to the story of the year...
The hottest player in professional football is hiding a secret that could end his career for good. Now Brooks is caught on the sidelines between the job she loves and the man she is falling in love with.
Brooks Smith is a sports broadcaster and football is a passion. Her whole life has been about football with her famous father. Jonas Nash is a football player, who has been recovering from surgery in the off season. When Brooks meets Jonas at an awards ceremony, both of them feel the electricity between them, but neither acts on it. Now she is home to cover Jonas' team and him. He is worried she will discover his secret.
My favorite part was when Jonas was talking to Mark at the camp. I finally saw the real Jonas. The one that he wants the world to see again. Jonas is trying to change. Will Brooks believe the new Jonas or the one she has seen in the news and tabloids?
Great characters. I could picture all of the descriptions in this book.
