List: Top 5 New Authors to You

What are your Top 5 New Authors you read this year?  I am not talking that these authors have a debut book out, but I am talking new to you.  Never read a book prior to that first one.

My top 5 6 new authors I have read this year: (I could not pick just 5)

1. Lynne Silver
-Waiting on Love, Two for Love, and First Match are my favorites for her.  I can not wait for her Hot Nights with Fireman in her new Alpha Heroes series.

2. Jessie Evans
-I am in love with her cowboy series, Lonesome Point, Tx.  Back when I was reading the 3 books in the Fool's Gold series (#   ), it was about cowboys!  I fell in love with cowboys and I knew I would love this series.  Now I did not start at book #1 (Leather and Lace), but I started with book #5 (Chaps and Chance).  I have read book #6 (Ropes and Revenge).  I plan to read the beginning of this series.

3. Gemma Brocato
-I fell in love with her Five Senses Series.  I have read all 3 in this series:
Cooking Up Love (#1)
Hearts in Harmony (#2)
Exposed to Passion (#3)

4. Jean C Joachim
-I started the Hollywood Hearts Series with Red Carpet Romance (#2) and loved it a lot.  I have read Memories of Love (#3), Movies Lovers (#4), and Love's Last Chance (#5).  I will be reading Lovers and Liars (#6) here very soon.  I want to read His Leading Lady (#.5) and If You Loved Me (#1).

5. Vella Day
-I read Hart to Hart in the Montana Promises Series (#4) and loved it.  I have the first 3 books I want to read.

Review: Burning Seduction

For this review, I chose Burning Seduction by Vella Day.  This is the 5th book of the Montana Promises series.
Book #1- Promises of Mercy
Book #2- Foundation for Three
Book #3- Montana Fire
Book #4- Hart to Hart

I received a copy of the ebook for a honest review of this book.

Here is a brief description from Goodreads:
Ever since Rock Hard Detective, Trent Lawson, was assigned to keep Charlotte Hart safe a few months back, he hasn’t been able to stop thinking about the sexy and headstrong woman. When Charlotte moves to Rock Hard, he boosts his effort to seal his heart. His job means everything to him. Too bad, passion flares the moment he sees her again.

After Charlotte’s shooting incident, she’s desired Trent. He’s everything she’s dreamed of in a man. Determined to have a future with him, she sets out to seduce him, but before she has the chance, a man is murdered, and she’s caught in the middle.

Intrigue and danger come between the new lovers, and Trent’s convinced being with him could put her in peril. What does she need to do to convince him they belong together no matter what?

I love going to Rock Hard, Montana.  It is like going home to visit dear friends.  I have only read book #4, Hart to Hart, but it was great to see Charlotte and Trent get their own book.  I do want to read books #1-3.

I love that this book had so much.
Mystery
Romance
Hot Sex
Murder
Passion
Heart ache
Intrigue
Action

My favorite character is Charlotte.  She is a strong woman, who follows her heart.  She goes after what she wants and nothing gets in her way.  Charlotte wanted Trent and she planned to seduce him.  Oh my, those scenes were the best!! (You have to read this book for more information!!)

The chemistry between Trent and Charlotte was very hot and passionate.  I think when you feel passion like that you need to grab it and never let go. Both of you will have fears, but you need to work through those fears to realize what is the most important thing- each other together.

I really hope that Vella Day will have another book in this series.  Ok, more than one!  I love how she had me guessing who murdered and why.  I love that this book had mystery and romance in it.

I give this book 5 out of 5 stars.

Review: Hart to Hart

For this review, I read Hart to Hart by Vella Day, which is my first book from this author.  This book is book #4 in the Montana Promises series.  It is also a stand alone book so if you haven't read books #1-3 like me you should be fine. I received a copy of the ebook for a honest review of this book.

Here is a brief description of Hart to Hart:
Goodreads Description:
Who says you can never go back?

Former FBI Agent Vic Hart has made a lot of bad decisions in his life. His biggest regret was divorcing his wife. So when Ellie shows up at his private investigator’s office after flying halfway across the country to ask for his help, he’s both shocked and delighted.

For five years, Ellie Hart struggled to create a new life for herself. It wasn’t easy to mend her broken heart, but she’s finally found the contentment she’s been searching for. Her new-found happiness is fleeting, however, when her life is threatened, and she’s forced to turn to the one man she never wanted to see again.

Ellie’s back in Vic’s life and he’ll do anything and everything to keep her there. He has passion and desire on his side—it burns even hotter this second time around.

But danger still follows, and the tension escalates. If Vic wants a future with Ellie, he’s going to have to find a way to keep his family safe and stay alive at the same time.

I love the mystery behind why Ellie went to her ex-husband, Vic, for help. Who is threatening Ellie and why? Is it because of something that Ellie did? Or could it have something to do with her ex-husband being a FBI agent! Is someone from his past threatening Ellie?  This book was more than just a romance book, but also a mystery of who did it!

I give this book 5 out of 5 stars because I fell in love with the characters of Ellie, Vic, and Charlotte. I can not wait to be able to read books #1-3. This book is a stand alone book and I didn't have any issues reading book #4 before the first 3.

Would I recommend this book? Yes! Author? Yes!
Would I read more from this author? Yes!

Happy Reading!
